Sierra Hot Springs: Late Spring

I went out to a hot springs resort to camp back in early July, which in this part of the eastern sierra, is middle to late spring.  It was really fantastic, lots of wildflowers despite the lack of rain this year.

Lots of sagebrush in the area, in the rainshadow of the sierra. It smells nice

This has been visited for millennia, and ever since white people came to the area in the 1800’s

They have done work recently to make it really nice; garden like around this pool

The bottom was sand, so nice. At night you can come soak under the stars
