I went to lovely Denver to visit family in late May. They were having very unseasonable tornadoes the entire time.
They have a really nice baseball stadium right next to the historic downtown area.
It was a weekday, so not too full
They even have an outdoor scene with waterfall to reflect the culture here. It was sad to see so much water when we have so little here at home in California
Here was the big screen
Two rain/hail/tornado warning delays and they cancelled the game
Later on, the downtown was nice and bright
But the storms were never far away after 1pm
They were pretty though
Can you see the snow-capped rockies?
How about now?
These clouds looked different
The foothill mesa’s
This is a county government center, posh no?
These are scenes from ancient Colorado, hundreds of millions of years ago. It starts before plants had flowers
Then it was part of a vast, shallow sea
Then the dinosaurs
And more modern times
This bear was trying to get into the convention center
Many more beautiful pictures ahead from this trip…
