In addition to those amazing vista’s, I saw the peak of summer wildflowers in the high sierra out at Carson Pass.
At lower and more arid elevations, mules ears and native grasses dominate.
Smaller, similar flower
This was the same as the orange ones, but in a yellow hue
Lots of native pansies
And on to pink
This one is a lighter version of the one below
I like this brighter version
My favorite, columbine
Those little knobs on the top are edible and sweet
Looks like lips
Bog native bee
So many flowers
Fields of flowers
And hills of flowers
A pine ready to release pollen
Shooting star cluster
And this magnificent green flower tower
Whites, blues and purples up next week.
